Bear s*&%s in woods

TMZ.com links to PDFs of the arresting officer's notes.

NYT carries Gibson's "apology" and ADL chief Abe Foxman's response. "“Liquor loosens the tongue of what’s in the mind and in the heart, and in his mind and in his heart is his conspiracy theory about Jews and hatred of Jews.” No word from Foxman about what's in Gibson's mind.

. . . Wood'ja (?) buih-leave! . . .

I almost feel sorry for the fools, bent on destroying Israel. If only they knew what they're going up against. In the post titled ". . . more 'italian' than you realize . . .", I expound on the chief reason for that emotional "near miss".

Anyway, the text for the hyperlink to that post is just below . . .

Mel did the movie not because he hates Jews. If I were to read the bible and compare it to the movie, I don't think I see any discrepancy. If the bible says that it was the Japs who killed Jesus I'm sure The Passion would have featured Japanese soldiers running around yelling, "Banzai!" Let's not twist history here. And stop taking things so personally.

Syga,

If you had reviewed the archives for this blog or many others, you would know by now that there are many discrepancies between Gibson's Passion and the Bible.

And please don't tell me not to take antisemitism personally. In fact I usually don't -- except when someone tells me not to.

P.S. Banzai, or "Charge!" might have been appropriate for Japanese people. For JAPS (note corrected spelling), I think it would have been, "Charge it." (Being a Jew, see I'm allowed to turn your ethnic slur into a tasteless joke....)
